Hazelnut Farm is a small boarding facility located in Lewisboro, New York that offers quality expertise in equine rehabilitation, boarding, and lessons.
Our 10 acre property displays a main barn and two annex barns, as well as a beautiful sand arena, brand new covered arena, 14 grass paddocks, and 8 medical paddocks. Hazelnut Farm is owned and operated by Lynn and Patrick Medeo lifelong horse enthusiasts. Hazelnut Farm welcomes all types of riders and horses. No matter what your riding ability or interest Hazelnut welcomes you to enjoy your horse and their facility!
Hazelnut Farm offers an array of lesson options. From beginner/ novice to advanced jumping and dressage work. Children and adult lessons are available.
Hazelnut Farm offers full board and one barn for retirement/ rough board. We are a warm, personal Equestrian Center right in the heart of Westchester County.
We attend Hunter Paces, monthly Clinics with various Trainers from the surrounding New York and Connecticut area and we also attend local shows.

Our outdoor ring was designed by Lawton Adams and has superior Equis Sand footing.
Hazelnut Farm offers summer clinics at their New York and Vermont locations. As well as riding instruction, students are offered a night at the Rodeo.

Lynn Medeo has been riding since she was seven years old. Lynn began her training at Maple Tree Farm with Robin Pavone then continued with Gincy Bucklin at Lion Hill Farm, her junior career with Leslie Newing from Fairfield Hunt Club, her adult amateur show career with Lonnie Lum Curran from Camelot Farms and for the last ten years training with Courtney Bolender from CB Walker Stables. For the last 20 years, Lynn has been personally training with Courtney Bolender Dressage, LLC.
Patrick Medeo is the owner and operator of Hazelnut Farms. Patrick is in charge of the care of arena footing, property management, rotational and pasture care, farm equipment operations. Patrick has been a “hands on” Father and Husband to this sport of horses! He has spent the last thirty years diligently caring for horses as well as being a heavy equipment operator in Manhattan for Local 15 Union.
Jessica Dooley began riding at the age of seven in Long Island. She competed in hunter seat equitation and the hunters as a junior, and went on to captain the St. Joseph’s College equestrian team. Jessica is passionate about developing well-rounded riders, teaching her students to love, care for, and respect our equine partners in the saddle and on the ground.
